SUSTAINABLE GARDEN

Care for our garden this summer!

Need an excuse to get outside and enjoy this beautiful weather? The Tualatin Elementary Sustainable Garden needs your help! As we work on completing the garden's irrigation system, we are looking for volunteers/families this summer to:

  • Sign up to water the garden for a day, a week, or as many days as you'd like (will take approximately one-hour, preferably in the morning before 10 AM or in the evening)
  • Do you have any extra time? We'd love help plucking weeds, too!

As a thank you for your hard work, you're welcome to enjoy our organic fruits, vegetables, herbs, and edible flowers - snack as you go or harvest for home!

You will receive a reminder email and/or text before your scheduled day in the garden, which will include the combination to unlock the shed where you'll find the water key, garden gloves, and any tools you may need. There will also be a sheet listing crops available for harvest and suggested gardening tasks.

If you have any questions, please contact Trish Osbourne at (503) 422-8015 if you have any questions.
